Highgate Fine Food & Wine - Spring Windows
A few changes to the window design concept:
- brighter colours
- bolder elements at eye-level that can be seen from the other side of the street
- repetition of seasonal theme on the outside windows (=Spring) and specific theme in the central window (=picnic)
Organisation and planning of refurbishment works (subject to the shop's finances!):
- replacement of damaged door (painted in white base colour)
- new colour for shop front and doors
- replacement of shop signeage by a new panel, golden sticking letters to be replaced by hand-painted writing
- replacement of awning
Highgate Fine Food & Wine - Mother's Day & Easter Windows
Highgate Fine Food & Wine - Window Design & Installation - January 2013
Highgate Fine Food & Wine - A Village Delicatessen and Grocer at the same location since 1799!
A family run business for over 35 years, premium location in the village, a listed shopfront with 3 large bow windows. The shop needs a complete refurbishment but to start with I focused on creating more attractive shop windows!
Original Shop Windows:
- no window display or theme - rubbish piling up in the left window
- some old Christmas props in the central window
- a white panel blocking the view through the shop in the right window
=> not inviting at all - started to be an issue for the local community as Highgate is a conservation area with many independent shops and beautiful residential streets.
Action Plan:
Creating one theme per window each highlighting the shop's unique selling points vs local competition
Window 1: seasonal theme to be changed 6 times per year
1st theme = Valentine's Day
Window 2: highlight the wide range of specialty breads
